How do the three powertrain options work?

e-POWER
e-POWER is completley unique to Nissan. The profound technology uses a petrol engine to charge the battery within the vehicle, and that alone runs the electric motor and powers the wheels. This means you would never need to recharge the vehicle.

This method creates a smoother driving experience and instant torque, while still producing significiantly less emissions and keeping running costs far lower than the tradtional combustion engine. Not only this, but Nissan has created a regenerative braking system on the vehicle. Every time the driver presses the brake, the kinetic energy is transferred into electrical energy, increasing fuel efficiency within the vehicle.

Mild Hybrid
The Nissan Mild Hybrid technology works by using a petrol engine to power the vehicle, but using a lithium battery to provide support.The stop-start technology has been carefully designed to create a more efficient engine, by turning it off during coasting, or at speeds under 11mph when the drivers foot is taken off the pedals.

This means that the energy which would usually wear away the break pads, is put to good use. When idle, the electric battery kicks into play, allowing the engine to take a break, increasing the efficiency of your vehicle. This in turn reduces emissions of the vehicle, as well as running costs.

e-POWER & e-4ORCE all-wheel drive
Offering 0-62mph in just 7 seconds, e-4ORCE all-wheel drive will deliver a more reassuring accelarative experience in all conditions. With two electric motors, one at either end of the vehicle, weight distribution is made almost perfect. E-4ORCE is able to control the torque and braking for each wheel independently, meaning it can priorotise certain wheels during uphills journeys to provide the most stability, as well as reducing the chance of under and over-steering.

The e-4ORCE system can react up to 10,000 times per second, adapting to whatever challenge your journey involves. For day to day driving, this technology creates more security in directional changes and a better flow in fast moving traffic.
The All-New X-Trail is available with either 5 or 7 seats, making it perfect for when you need additional space for extra family members. This exciting crossover is the only electrified 7-seat SUV currently on the market. In a choice of 15 colours, the exterior appearance of the All-New Nissan X-trail is sleek, elegant, and dominating. The powerful LED headlights are paired with a striking design for road presence, accompanied by the signature V motion grille typical for Nissan. The All-New Nissan X-Trail features a large panoramic openable sunroof, a statement for comfortability combined with style. The back of the vehicle is also not overlooked, with boomerang shaped tail lights giving the vehicle a signature, unforgettable appearance.

In fact, the second row of seats have a 20:30:20 sliding design, allowing extensive movement to allow for extra leg room for passengers. The boot versatility is extensive, with the adaptable luggage boards giving you the ability to increase space as and when needed. An interesting feature of the All-New Nissan X-Trail is the opening range of the two rear doors, which can open much further than the ordinary door, a thoughtful touch for parents needing to often fit and remove car seats, or even to give easier access to those who may need it entering in and out the vehicle.
