Vehicle Preparation

Every vehicle displayed and sold by Howards undergoes a rigorous process of preparation and reconditioning carried out by our highly trained technicians. 


Provenance Checks

We work with the globally respected company 'Experian' to check the provenance of all vehicles that we present for sale. We specifically ensure:

  • There is no outstanding Finance on the vehicle

  • That it has not been stolen

  • That has not been subject to an insurance write-off

  • That the accuracy of the recorded mileage has been verified


MOT

Where appropriate, all cars are delivered with a minimum of 6 months MOT.


Minimum 12-month Warranty

Many of our cars are presented for sale with the remainder of the manufacturer warranty. In all cases, the warranty will be for a minimum of 12 months from the point at which you buy the car giving you peace of mind in the first year of motoring. We will always explain how this warranty can be extended to provide cover for longer periods of ownership.


Consumer Credit and Insurance Products

As an Appointed Representative that is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, we are able to offer Consumer Credit (subject to status) and advise you on a range of general insurance products. Our objective is to clearly explain how you can fund the purchase of your next car and ways in which you can protect your investment going forwards.


Service Plans

We offer a range of plans to help you budget for future servicing requirements. Where does stock for the Howards Used Car Centre come from?


Every car we stock and sell has been sourced from part-exchanges taken into one of the main franchised dealerships within our Group.

Why are these cars not being sold from one of these franchised dealerships?

Our Used Car Centre stocks products for which we do not hold a main dealer franchise or cars that are perhaps slightly older or higher in mileage than you might normally find on a franchised dealer forecourt.
