The Howards Family Charitable Partnerships Programme

Inspired throughout our heritage by ensuring that as a business we continually support the communities that support us, in 2023 we will be donating £5 for each vehicle purchased to those in need through the Howards Family Charitable Partnership Programme.  We have and want to continue to work on meaningful initiatives, ensuring that we make the most positive contribution we possibly can to improve the health and wellbeing of those in need.

In order to support and give back to communities that support us, we fund partnerships which aim to:

  • Build strong relationships in and across communities, serving and supporting the local residents.
  • Improve the places and spaces in our communities.
  • Support our employees in their personal charitable ventures.

It is important to us that the programme will only support local community initiatives with a clearly defined charitable purpose or community benefit. The programme does not directly support individuals, education fees or expeditions. The programme will consider applications if they match the categories and geographical locations listed below:

Geographical locations:

Weston-super-Mare, Taunton, Yeovil & Dorchester (20-mile radius) or form part of a national organisation.

Categories supported in our geographical locations:

  • Education projects
  • Community projects
  • Support for older people and their careers
  • Family welfare
  • Youth work
  • Schools
  • Hospice care

How we have helped...

“Weston Hospicecare is over 30 years old and our IPU is 25 this year, we support communities living across North Somerset and Sedgemoor providing physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual support to people affected by life-limiting illnesses completely free of charge. With less than 20% of our work funded by the NHS, the support of companies like Howards Motor Group is hugely important and vital to continuing our work into the future.

Howards Motor Group have been a significant and valuable supporter of Weston Hospicecare for many years. All aspects of the hospice’s work has been impacted by Howards’ kind donations and sponsorship of events and appeals across the years. Howards is the headline sponsor of our flagship event Mendip Challenge, which has seen thousands of people take on the Mendips across the years. They have also supported a number of other events over the years, including Strictly Fun Dancing, raising thousands of pounds each year.

Weston Hospicecare’s annual appeals have had huge support form Howards, contributing considerably to our match funding appeals, allowing supporters to double their donation and therefore double their impact. The support from Howards is felt charity wide and we remain hugely grateful”

"A sincere thank you for the generosity of your company's donations.  As Sarah and Tilly were unloading their cars yesterday, it was a real treasure trove of items that will bring joy to children's faces this Christmas time.

As we were compiling the list, it was harder to visualise the generosity of the gifts, but to see the mountain of toys in our hall, with the photographs both Tilly and I took, just underlines how much support we have received from Howards Group this year.  Thank you so much for this.

Next week, we begin to distribute these gifts. We can only imagine the smiles that will be on the children's faces when they receive these gifts.  I am sure it will make this Christmas time special for them.

Thank you again for your generosity"

Howard Garages (Weston) Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Howard Garages (Weston) Ltd to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only. Company Number: 1108986

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
