Opting for GT-Line trim adds 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels, wheelarch cladding, and extended side sills for a sportier look. Inside, the GT-Line features a three-spoke steering wheel with paddle-shifters. However, full UK specifications and pricing remain under wraps for now.

As the “K4” name suggests (rather than “EV4”), this isn’t an electric vehicle. Instead, the K4 launches with several combustion options:

• A 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox

• A mild-hybrid version of the same engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic

• A 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol, available with 148bhp or 178bhp, both paired with the 7-speed auto

• A full hybrid will join the lineup later

Performance and efficiency figures will be announced closer to launch.

Inside, the K4 boasts a near-30-inch-wide digital display setup combining:

• 12.3-inch instrument cluster

• 5.3-inch climate control display

• 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across all trims. Higher trims get a wireless phone charger, Harman Kardon sound system, and heated/ventilated artificial leather front seats. There’s also Digital Key functionality, allowing your smartphone to act as a key, and a voice assistant activated by saying “Hey Kia.”
