On the Podium: Nissan Qashqai and Townstar EV Dominate in Prestigious 2024 Awards

Nissan takes the spotlight with a commanding presence as the Qashqai claims SUV of the Year and the Townstar EV secures Small Electric Van of the Year in the prestigious 2024 Company Car & Van Awards.

In a stellar display of automotive excellence, Nissan proudly takes center stage as its iconic Qashqai and the innovative Townstar EV claim top honors in the esteemed 2024 Company Car & Van Awards. The Qashqai secured the highly coveted title of SUV of the Year, while the Townstar EV emerged triumphant as the Small Electric Van of the Year.

The Qashqai's victory in the SUV category is a testament to its enduring appeal, marrying practicality with style. As a former Sun newspaper Car of the Year and a recipient of the December Carwow Awards' High Commendation, the Qashqai continues to set the standard for five-door SUVs. Its large boot, ingenious practicality, and the revolutionary e-POWER drivetrain propelled it to the top, earning recognition for its good looks, on-trend tech, and exceptional safety features.

On the electric front, the Townstar EV takes the spotlight as a significant and welcome addition to Nissan's van lineup. Awarded the title of Compact High Cube Van of the Year at the 2023 Great British Fleet Awards, the Townstar EV stands out with clever storage solutions, numerous safety features, and a top-quality cabin. Its quiet, relaxed driving experience, swift acceleration tailored for the urban jungle, and an impressive 186-mile range solidify its position as the Small Electric Van of the Year.

Andrew Walker, editor of Company Car & Van, emphasized the distinct appeal of both vehicles, stating that the Qashqai's practicality and the Townstar EV's quiet, relaxed driving experience contributed to their undeniable success. The awards reaffirm Nissan's commitment to providing vehicles that not only meet but exceed the expectations of UK drivers.

A Nissan spokesperson expressed delight at the recognition, highlighting the brand's satisfaction when acknowledgment comes from external entities. Building on the success of the ARIYA at the previous Company Car & Van Awards, the accolades for the Qashqai and Townstar EV signal a promising start for Nissan in 2024.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Nissan stands at the forefront, leading the way with innovative solutions that resonate with diverse driving preferences. The Qashqai and Townstar EV's triumphs in the 2024 Company Car & Van Awards underscore their prowess, making them not just vehicles but representations of Nissan's unwavering dedication to excellence and continuous advancement.
