The Howards Family Charitable Partnerships Programme

Inspired throughout our heritage by ensuring that as a business we continually support the communities that support us.

In 2024 we will continue our pledge to donate £5 for each vehicle purchased to those in need through the Howards Family Charitable Partnership Programme, enabling us to continue our work with meaningful initiatives and ensuring that we make the most positive contribution we possibly can to improve the health and wellbeing of those in need.

Who do we support?

In order to support and give back to communities that support us, we fund partnerships which aim to:

  • Build strong relationships in and across communities, serving and supporting the local residents.
  • Improve the places and spaces in our communities.
  • Support our employees in their personal charitable ventures.

How we're helping in 2024

We have already been busy this year, helping local schools, food banks and animal shelters as well as supporting our employees' charitable endeavours. We've got lots more coming up so watch this space to see our other projects for 2024.

Parkfield Primary School, Taunton

'The Nest' is a purposeful provision for our children who have additional needs. This is a vital space for our school, where children from EYFS to Year 6 can take part in daily sensory sessions, Attention to Autism time and play and explore where their needs and interests are at the centre.

We used the money to create mark making zones, a home corner, reading area and display boards to celebrate their talents and achievements. We wouldn't have been able to do this without the support of Howards, so we are very thankful.

Somerset & Dorset Animal Rescue

We are still truly touched to have been one of the chosen for Howard Motor Group's Shining Stars. The van was full of food treats, new beds, coats leads harnesses, the list goes on. The most special part of the day was being to show off our gorgeous residents who this is all for. Thank you again to all involved.

The Prince Of Wales School - Dorchester

'The Chromebooks provided by Howards Motor Group will significantly enhance our ability to deliver a cutting-edge educational experience. These devices will be instrumental in supporting our students' learning, helping them to access digital resources, develop their technological skills and engage more deeply with their studies.

We believe that investing in education is crucial for the future of our community, and this generous donation will have a lasting impact on our students and teachers. We are deeply grateful to Howards Motor Group for their support and are excited to see the positive effects this will have on our school community.

Thank you, Howards Motor Group, for your commitment to supporting local schools and for helping us to provide the best possible education for our pupils'

Weston Hospicecare

For more than 30 years, Weston Hospicecare has given palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset completely free of charge. We simply couldn’t provide these vital services without support from organisations like Howards Motor Group.

The support from Howards Motor Group over many years has been transformative. It has made a significant contribution to the work of Weston Hospicecare and continues to make a difference to thousands of people in our local community each year.

Mendip Challenge 2024
The impact of your support can be seen across the organisation. This includes the expert care delivered from our base, Jackson-Barstow House in Uphill, where there is a 10-bedroom inpatient unit and a day and wellbeing centre, through our team of community nurse specialists who care for patients and their families in their homes and through our specially trained Family Support Team providing essential social, emotional, and spiritual support.

None of this would be possible without your support.

Every year, the need for our hospice services increases. With support from Howards Motor Group and others, together we can be there for our local community - improving and expanding our facilities and services and, crucially, giving life to days.

Thank you for making a difference to the lives of patients and their families from our community.

Niamh, our Apprentice Aftersales Advisor

Niamh, our Apprentice Aftersales Advisor at Kia, will be taking on a Skydive this May for The Air Ambulance Service, to raise funds a year on from an accident that changed her life. After falling through scaffolding, Niamh was in a coma for three weeks and as a result, had to undergo months of speech and physio therapy, learning to walk and talk again.

Niamh has made an incredible recovery but still lives with the long term affects of the brain and nerve damage, and is unable to do as much physical activity as she would like.

Donate For Defib

"The Donate for Defib Weston-super-Mare Project is an outstanding initiative that is making a real difference in our community. At Howards Motor Group, we are proud to support a project that is so dedicated to raising awareness and funds for life-saving defibrillators.

Our recent training session, organised by the Donate for Defib team, was outstanding and we were impressed by their professionalism and dedication. The session was not only educational but also had a huge impact for all those who attended from across our group. Professor Graham's contribution left a lasting impression on all attendees, reinforcing the critical importance of defibrillators in saving lives during sudden cardiac arrests"

  • Howard Garages (Weston) Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Howard Garages (Weston) Ltd to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only. Company Number: 1108986

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
