Nissan X-Trail declared the Family Car of the Year at News UK Motoring Awards

We're proud to announce that the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER has won Family Car of the Year at The Motor Awards 2023. This also comes as Nissan introduced the Nissan "Hyper" series of EV Concept vehicles.

We're proud to announce that the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER has won Family Car of the Year at The Motor Awards 2023. This recognition was accredited by The Sun, The Sunday Times and driving.co.uk on Thursday 5th of October 2023.

Now in its 4th generation, X-Trail continues to represent ground breaking technology and adventure and has sold more than 7.8 million units globally since its introduction in 2001.

The Nissan X-Trail is Nissan's electrified family adventure vehicle which joined the line up in 2022 and has been excitedly received since. With 85 degree rear opening doors, in built rear sunshades, USB ports in the second row, up to 585L of boot space and plenty of clever storage options, Nissan X-Trail is an excellent option for families.

The Sun Motors Editor Rob Gill said: "The X-Trail has all the goodness of a Qashqai - our 2021 Car of the Year - but with the addition of seven seats and 4WD.

"Go for the clever e-POWER petrol hybrid and it's like driving an EV - quiet, smooth and responsive - minus the hassle of having to stop and recharge. If your family outgrows a Qashqai, or you live in the green bits of Britain, you'll want an X-Trail in your life"

Nic Thomas, Nissan Marketing Director commented: "X-Trail is a key part of the Nissan line up and it means a lot to be selected for this award by some of the UK's most popular publications and their motoring experts.

Nissan defined the crossover segment with the introduction of Qashqai, and we are thrilled to see Nissan crossovers continuing to be at the forefront of the industry paving the way for new technologies and driving experiences. X-Trail is the biggest car in our line up the perfect choice for families looking for a car that is as comfortable off road as it is driving through cities."

To introduce Nissan's new generation of electrification, a series of innovative “hyper" EV concept vehicles has been developed to reinforce the brand's commitment to empowering society for the future of mobility.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nissan Design Europe (NDE) being located in London, Makoto Uchida, Nissan's President and Chief Executive Officer, visited NDE to unveil an all-new sporty urban electric concept car called Nissan Concept 20-23.

This concept car is one of a series of "hyper" EV concept vehicles. Some other models unveiled since include: Nissan Hyper Urban, Nissan Hyper Adventure, Nissan Hyper Tourer, Nissan Hyper Punk and the Hyper Force, all pictured below.

With the new Concept 20:23 celebrating two decades of bold, pioneering automotive design leadership in London, across Europe and beyond, it will be exciting to see what the next 20 years hold as the team at Nissan Design Europe embraces the move to electrification and autonomous drive technology.

  • Howards Garages (Weston) Ltd T/A Howards motor Group is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allow Howards Garages (Weston) Ltd T/A Howards motor Group to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a lender on our panel, which includes lenders of vehicle manufacturers. We have commercial arrangements with lenders and credit brokers which are likely to influence who we introduce you to. We are not an independent financial adviser and don’t give you any advice or recommendations. It is your choice whether you enter into any finance agreement.

Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked to the franchise offering you the vehicle. They will usually offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions (but we do not guarantee they do). If they are unable to offer finance, we then seek to introduce you to someone else on our panel. We will usually receive a commission for your introduction. This will be either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you choose.

Lenders of vehicle manufacturers may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will tell you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receiving this commission. The exact amount of commission will be confirmed before you sign your finance agreement.

All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18s or over. Guarantees may be required.
