    Nissan Qashqai secures top spot with 42,704 sales in 2022

    The Nissan Qashqai was named the nation’s best-selling car of the last 12 months.

The Nissan Qashqai is the first British-built UK best-seller since 1998, an incredible achievement, and is the first time that Nissan has topped the annual sales chart. 

With 42,704 new Qashqais driven off of retailer forecourts across the UK in 2022, the figure for just the month of December stood at 3,506. To celebrate such an astonishing figure, Nissan have created an exclusive gold-wrapped Qashqai, which proudly shows off the hard work of over 7,000 Nissan employees who have contributed to the vehicle's success.

Andrew Humberstone, managing director of Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd, said: ‘‘This is a landmark moment for a landmark car and it’s great to see how the latest generation Qashqai has struck a chord with car buyers here in the UK.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to see this car’s increasing success over the last 16 years, and it’s a fitting tribute to the skills and talents of Nissan’s excellent design, engineering, production and sales teams all around the UK.”
