Founded almost one hundred years ago, Butterworth Jones (BWJ) is now one of the largest independent Chartered Accountancy practices in the West Country. They provide a wide range of accountancy support and advice to businesses and individuals.
To help the local communities, BWJ Staff Fundraising Ltd held a Charity Ball on the 9th October 2015 at Batch Country House, Lympsham.
Howards Motor Group proudly donated an England Womens’ Cricket Team signed shirt and bat to the cause. There were many other fantastic prizes donated to the auction including goodies from Aardman Animations, a Porsche driving experience day, Golf vouchers and a signed Man U football to name a few!
After a very successful evening Butterworth Jones raised over £11,500 their chosen charities, BRACE & Ups and Downs Southwest.
BRACE is a charity based in Bristol which helps fund research into Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. They help medical scientists understand the causes of dementia and develop ways to diagnose it earlier and create more effective treatments. They will use the donations to support research at universities in West England and South Wales.
Ups and Downs South West is a charity that supports the families affected by Down Syndrome. Through fundraising they have been able to provide support that focuses on both family and professional services such as regular face to face meetings, home visits and information events. They also organise regular family days for different families to enjoy fun activities and exchange experiences and information.
