Vauxhall Frontera Crowned ‘Value Car of the Year’ at News UK Motor Awards 2025

In a landmark moment for Vauxhall, the newly launched Frontera has been named ‘Value Car of the Year’ at the News UK Motor Awards 2025, a prestigious accolade that celebrates excellence, innovation, and affordability in the automotive industry. The award, judged by a panel of experts from The Sun, The Times, The Sunday Times Magazine, and LUXX, recognises the Frontera’s bold approach to electrification and its commitment to making sustainable driving accessible to all.

The Frontera’s win is particularly notable given the competitive landscape of the small SUV market. With manufacturers racing to deliver electric and hybrid options, Vauxhall has managed to stand out by offering a fully electric version of the Frontera at a price point that undercuts its petrol-hybrid counterpart. Starting at just £23,995 on the road, the electric Frontera is not only affordable, it’s a statement of intent.

Gill added, “Vauxhall has flipped the switch with Frontera Electric. Normally, the price difference between petrol and electric is about 30 per cent. Frontera delivers that in spades. It’s rugged, spacious, and smartly designed, and it’s electric without the premium.”

The SUV features a bold, rugged exterior, a spacious interior, and a generous specification list even at entry level. The newly introduced Ultimate trim adds further appeal, offering heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a heated windscreen, LED fog lamps, and roof rails for added versatility.

£500 towards home charger installation or public charging credit
Eight years of roadside assistance, including emergency charging support
10,000 miles of free home charging when switching to Octopus GO

These incentives are designed to ease the transition to electric driving and reinforce the Frontera’s value proposition.
