The clamshell hood spans the entire width of the car – minimising panel gaps for a clean, high-tech look. From the side, you will see that the graphics are highlighted by flush door handles that vanish to enhance the clean look and aerodynamics.

The exclusive 20" alloy wheels further echo the design theme, harmonising beautifully with the sleek profile.

The distinctive LED headlamps with their 256 Parametric Pixels create a unique jewel-like design to the front end of the IONIQ 5. The innovative LED lighting design can be found in the back as well, with IONIQ 5’s signature Parametric Pixels highlighted in the unique rectangular rear light signature. The IONIQ 5 reassures the driver that even at night, you can drive with confidence.

Interior Features

Environmentally-friendly materials have been used throughout the cabin. With a choice of seat covers in either comfortable cloth, or eco-processed leather that is dyed and treated with plant oil extractions from flaxseed. Raw materials extracted from sugar cane are used on the headliner, carpet and seat covers.

Offering plenty of room for passengers and luggage, the IONIQ 5 is spacious, with a larger flat floor, highly adjustable front seats that can be fully reclined, and a flexible centre console that can be moved throughout the cabin, making for an extraordinary experience.

With two fully reclining relaxation seats in the front, you can enjoy premium comfort. Enjoy fully reclining relaxation seats in the front, and at the push of a single button, you can recline for a refreshing break.

The sliding centre console allows you to slide the centre console back to the rear seats, so your passengers can use it as a picnic table or desk.

IONIQ 5 charges from 10% to 80% in as little as 18-36 minutes when connected to a 350 kW ultra-fast charger.*

The IONIQ 5 gives you a range of flexible charging possibilities depending on your grid connection at home or the type of charging station you have access to. You can top up whilst you’re out and about at the supermarket, work, the gym, shopping centre or many other convenient locations.

When you travel further afield you can make the most of the growing high voltage networks to provide a quick boost to your range, such as IONITY, GridServe Electric Highway, InstaVolt and BP Pulse.

Hyundai SmartSense offers a collection of cutting-edge Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, IONIQ 5 has been equipped with the very latest safety features for added convenience and peace of mind.

Safety technology on offer includes Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Avoidance, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning.

The e-call button, automatically calls emergency services if you’re in an accident and the airbags deploy. If your IONIQ 5 is not in an accident, but you still require emergency services, passengers can push the SOS button for emergency assistance at any time, 365 days a year.

E-GMP

The IONIQ 5 is the first vehicle built on Hyundai’s new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), enabling faster charging, increased driving range, more interior space and better handling. 

For improved handling performance, the battery pack has been positioned within the wheelbase to ensure ideal weight distribution between the front and rear.

Extra space has been created by moving the space-consuming AC system from inside the car to the extra space created by replacing the engine with an electric motor – leaving more room for passengers in the front.
