It’s a proud moment for the Howards Peugeot retailer located at Searle Crescent, Weston super Mare, where our Technical Apprentice Dan Cook has won the prestigious ‘Peugeot UK Apprentice of the Year’ award. Ran UK wide by Peugeot, Dan’s technical skills were pitched against other finalists from across the country culminating in a day of challenging practical and theoretical tests at Peugeot’s UK Head Office, located in Coventry. At the end of this rigorous and highly competitive day, Dan was unanimously voted as Peugeot’s top Apprentice for 2014, a fantastic achievement celebrated throughout our motor group. Later he was joined by his family for a celebratory dinner hosted by Peugeot in the evening, capping off a great day and year of hard work.
Following the announcement of his achievement Dan said: “I am absolutely delighted with winning this title and it’s great after the years of hard work I have put in to be recognised in this way. I would also like to thank the other more experienced Technicians I work with every day and my manager for the advice and support they have given me in developing my skills and securing the Peugeot Apprentice of the Year title.”
John Allan, the General Manager for Howards Peugeot in Weston super Mare said:
“We are so pleased for Dan on his fantastic achievement and proud of the skills and knowledge he has displayed. Not only has he become a real asset to our retailer with the technical expertise that he has developed but he is also a pleasure to work with and a very popular member of the workshop team. We look forward to his vital contribution to our Service Department in the years to come.”
At Howards we pride ourselves on providing a working environment that both supports and develops all our team members. We all have our fingers crossed for the 2015 awards!
