Hyundai i20: When Boxing and Rally Driving Collide

In preparation for her Commonwealth Gold success in Glasgow, Nicola Adams took to the track with Hyundai Shell World Rally ace Thierry Neuville to test her nerve!

In preparation for her Commonwealth Gold success in Glasgow, Nicola Adams took to the track with Hyundai Shell World Rally ace Thierry Neuville to test her nerve!

Indulging in her passion for fast cars and thrill seeking experiences, Nicola witnessed the Hyundai i20 WRC’s power around the Goodwood Forest Rally Stage, with Thierry pushing the high performance car to its limits for one high speed lap. In his debut year for Hyundai Shell World Rally Team, Thierry currently sits at 6th place in the World Rally Championship, hitting two podium finishes including 3rd place at Rally Poland and Mexico.

Two sports sharing similar exhilaration, later Thierry was treated to a boxing lesson by the Olympic and Commonwealth champion, proving to be more comfortable behind the wheel than when throwing shots!

Hyundai’s ethos revolves around new thinking for new possibilities and the i20 delivers by redefining drivers’ expectations. Ranging from the entry model 1.2 Classic up to the 1.4 CRDi Blue Drive, the i20 combines fuel efficiency and performance to achieve that optimum responsive driving experience. Visually the i20 packs a punch, elegantly portraying a grown up appearance through its fluid, sculptured body that cuts through the air and catches your attention. For a smart drive that offers big power at the cost of running of small car, the 1.6 ix20 thinks outside the box, aerodynamic in design whilst offering Hyundai renowned Blue Drive technologies, such as Stop & Go which cleverly conserves fuel through reactively switching off the engine when the ix20 comes to a halt (starting again when the clutch is activated). For more information on the i20 and ix20 range, visit your local Howards Hyundai dealership today or alternatively book a test drive to witness a fresh driving experience.

Thierry Neuville is in action next at the ADAC Rally Deutschland from August 21st with his Hyundai team mate Hayden Paddon. Howards Motor Group wish them both the best of luck!

Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Howard Garages (Weston) Ltd to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only. Company Number: 1108986

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
