How to set your clock with the Peugeot 508 SW

Oh, oh, good heavens. Oh, flipping hell. Hello everybody, I'm 15 minutes late for work this morning. Thanks to my car's clock. I don't know if anybody else finds this a problem, but on several occasions, I've relied on that thing and it's let me down. Now, this might be because I'm haven't set it correctly, however, I'm going to rectify that issue by showing you how to set your clock in a Peugeot. This is our brand new Peugeot 508 SW. It's a really quite comfortable Peugeot car, but the interface in the clock systems are very similar to the rest of the range.

  • Now what is very important is this. You don't have to press any of these buttons. It doesn't matter if you're on the radio or you're navigating or you're on the air conditioning settings. It doesn't matter what you selected. Go to the top right-hand corner of this screen and press the settings icon.

  • Then go down to the bottom left-hand corner and click options. And here you can see that you've been presented with a list of settings and tools.

  • Now to reset the clock, you simply click on it, setting the time and date. And as you can see it gives you an option. Now you can either have it in the day, month, year, which is sort of the British way of doing it. Or You could have it by month, day, year, which is the American way or, or however you prefer. Varying people like it in varying ways. It was completely up to you. However, the date is completely fine.

  • What we want to do is change the clock. Now at the bottom here we've got a selection of okay date and time, click on time. And there we are. We're now in the main sort of settings section for the clock. And if you click on the time zone section here, you can choose which times I knew like the clock to be set too.

  • Because we are in the sort of central time zone, I am going to set it to that which is UTC plus one hour. What was really handy about this is it allows you to fit around with the time format so you could change it from 24 hours to 12 hours.

  • For example, which is the format I prefer. You've got the daylight saving time plus an hour. Now at the bottom, as we can see, there's synchronization with GPS setting and if we leave that on, we don't have to do anything.

  • The computer will automatically set itself based on the position of the vehicle in relation to a satellite. However, if you'd like to do the settings yourself, perhaps adding a minute or two so that the chances of you being late to a meeting are much less then simply turn it off here as we can see. And then click on this pen icon up in the top left-hand corner. Now as you can see, we've been presented with a keypad.

  • What this keypad allows us to do is actually set the time ourselves. So the clock, uh, currently says on my watch any rates, it's about nine minutes past 11. However, if I want to get to a meeting a couple of minutes early, I'll set it for 11. Uh, we'll set it for 11:12.

  • There we go. So the, I'm going to be around about two or three minutes early, uh, and once you're happy with that or that you need to do is click the green okay button in the bottom left-hand corner.
