    MacMillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Proves A Huge Success at Howards

    Our MacMillan’s coffee morning on September 26th proved a great success raising a total of £901.39 towards a fantastic cause.

 

Our MacMillan’s coffee morning on September 26th proved a great success raising a total of £901.39 towards a fantastic cause.

All retailers took part, including those located in Weston-super-Mare, Taunton, Yeovil and Dorchester. Offering the best cakes in Somerset, we were all pleased to make a contribution to such a great cause that has so far to date raised £8, 718, 863 nationwide. Originating in 1990, the event started when a local fundraising committee decided to hold a coffee morning to meet, mingle and most importantly donate. Over the past 24 years this has generated nearly £133 million for MacMillan Cancer Support and continues to grow!

Cancer will affect more than 1 in 3 people in their lifetime, with rates increasing by more than a 1/3 in the last 40 years alone. The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is MacMillan’s largest fundraising event, with over 154 000 participants in 2013. Money raised makes sure no one has to face cancer alone, from diagnosis to treatment and right through to recovery. Work by Macmillan includes medical, emotional, practical and financial support, pushing for a better cancer care system that reaches all corners of the UK.

Providing the opportunity to raise money at home, work or school, the official event date was the 26th September but it’s still not too late to get involved and host your own coffee morning or get planning for next year by ordering your free Coffee Morning kit online!     Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.
