Citroen Teams Up With Arsenal With Cup Final Music Video

As Arsenal gear up to face Aston Villa in the FA Cup Final at Wembley this Saturday, the Gunners have teamed up with Citroen to create an end-of-season, tongue-in-cheek music video.

Set to the tune of 90s hit Return of the Mack, the video laments the end of the football season, a time when the sad British male football fan is reduced to mowing the lawn, wandering around B&Q or helping the wife shop for shoes. The depressing scenario is made worse because 2015 is an ‘odd’ year, meaning that there’s no World Cup or European Championships to keep the footie fires burning over the summer months.

    1.  Learn to Football Freestyle

For anyone wanting to go beyond mere football and to learn a few tasty tricks, Citroen has suggested learning to football freestyle. Freestyle is now a globally recognised form of art-meets-sport, where exponents spin a ball around their shoulders, play keepie-uppie in a sitting position and generally make the ball stick like glue to their bodies while performing incredible feats of gymnastics.

    2. Play Footvolley

Improve your technical skills by hiring a badminton court with your pals and playing footvolley. As the name implies, it’s like volleyball, only with feet.

    3. Play FootGolf

Why has nobody thought of this before? Football and golf, golf and football – the perfect partners. Using a size 5 football and a golf course, you have to get the ball into the hole using your feet.

    4. Join a 5-a-side league

A bit more traditionally, you could also join a five-a-side league. Try Goals Soccer Centres and Powerleague – they’re nationally located.

    5. Play Headis

On the theme of sport combos, how about Headis? It’s a German sport that mixes football and table tennis. It’s like regular table tennis, but players must head the seven-inch ball.

What can we say? Here at Howards Group, official Citroen stockist in the West Country, we suggest you get stuck in. We’ll be missing the footie too.
