With a driving range of 125 miles on a single charge. The Honda e 100% electric vehicle is a zero-emissions powertrain that is the perfect choice for eco-conscious drivers. Engineered to be fun to drive as well as efficient. The Honda e has a single electric motor. Rated for approximately 148 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, all delivered through the rear wheels. This vehicle combines an ideal mix of dynamic and premium styling. With design cues were taken from the original Honda Civic.

Honda Electric Car Interior

The Honda e Urban EV interior is comfortable, practical and stylish. It has a boutique feel that has been designed to feel like a living room.

The most eye-catching feature is the car’s full-length infotainment system which dominates the cockpit. It's built into the dashboard and finished with a wood-effect trim. Two 12.3-inch screens sit in the middle, giving access to the car’s range of apps and other functions.

The left screen controls the sat nav, vehicle settings and a ‘Personal Assistant’ feature. While the right portion houses DAB radio and detailed feedback on battery electric range and electrical recuperation. LED lights indicating the car's state of charge will be visible through a glass panel. Graphics also displaying information via screens inside the vehicle.

You can control your charging via the colour touchscreen on the dashboard. Or via the smartphone app on your phone from anywhere in the world. These let you start, stop and manage your charging at any time.

Rearview cameras replace conventional door mirrors. Amazingly this reduces aerodynamic drag by around 90%. Providing an overall efficiency boost across the entire vehicle by 3.8%, playing a significant role in maximising overall range.

As well as featuring cameras instead of rear-view mirrors. There are also flush door handles to further boost aerodynamic efficiency, while the charging port is mounted centrally in the bonnet. Drivers will be able to choose between the normal view and a wide view mode.

These modes increase visibility by 10% on normal mode and 50% in wide view mode when compared to normal mirrors. A special water-repellent coating will be used to stop water obscuring the driver's vision. All these innovative features along with comfort-focused seating. Honda Electric Engine Specification

The Honda electric car has a powerful 148bhp electric motor housed at the back of the car underneath the boot floor. Making this electric car a rear wheels drive, providing a better steering feel under high acceleration.

A 0-62mph run takes 7.8 seconds and it has a top speed of around 85mph. As it’s an electric car, there aren’t any gears to worry about, so acceleration is very smooth and immediate. With the Single Pedal Control. Accelerate and decelerate using only one pedal. Push your foot down to go – and take it off to brake. There is also a brake pedal that can be used if required. Pop it into ‘Sport’ mode and the acceleration is even more immediate.

Plug Type and Charging Times

The Honda e can be charged using the regular Type 2 AC connection or a CCS2 DC rapid charge plug. This will boost the power of the liquid-cooled 35.5kWh battery pack to 80% in less than 30 minutes.The electric car's two charging ports lie underneath the black panel in its bonnet. This makes car charging easy and the charging status is clearly displayed by LED.

A 7kW home wall box charger will deliver a full top-up in five hours. Alternatively, a normal three-pin plug will do the job in around 15 hours. Rapid chargers can be found at most motorway service stations and are being progressively installed across the UK as the popularity of plugin electric cars grow.
