    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    If you are looking to develop and progress your skills  in a retail and aftersales environment, this is the role for you.    If you have exceptional communication and customer care skills you will excel in our business.   We are looking for a Customer Relationship Advisor / Service Advisor Trainee.   You will be working towards taking ownership of the Aftersales customer journey and developing long term customer relationships.   You will be working with our Team at one of our Aftersales Departments in Taunton.

    This is a training role and, once complete, you will become a Customer Relationship Manager in Aftersales.   Your basic pay will increase accordingly, along with your ability to undertake all the responsibilities of the role independently.  

    You will need to be a real ‘people person’ and ideally will currently be working in a customer facing role, potentially in the retail sector.   Previous experience of working in the automotive sector is not essential.  Unlike other retail opportunities, you will only be working from Monday to Friday – no weekends!

    As a Trainee, you will be working towards the following key duties, under supervision by an experienced member of the Team;

    • The key touch point for all customer interactions in our vibrant retail environment.   As a fast paced highly customer centric business, this role will be to help facilitate exceptional customer experience on every visit.  Working as part of a larger Aftersales Team means that this will provide a fabulous working environment where fresh ideas and intuition are welcomed.
    • You will be a vital link between our busy Sales and Aftersales facilties, providing a high level of expertise in Aftersales, using the tools provided by the business to ensure the customer only wants a Howards experience for their next Showroom or Aftersales visit.
    • By providing exceptional levels of personal service to customers, you will be able to maximise the sale of workshop hours and sell additional Aftersales products and services, using customer focussed processes.

    What Are We Looking For?

    • A full driving licence.
    • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
    • At least 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above or equivalent experience.
    • Knowledge of IT and use of software packages.
    • Ideally automotive and / or retail experience – desirable but not essential.
