JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a further member of the Finance Team at the Howards Group, based at our Peugeot/Suzuki, Weston super Mare Dealership. Full time hours are 40 per week from Monday to Friday.
This role is a fixed term contract for 18 months to train for and cover maternity leave.
You will support the day-to-day functions of the Finance Team from the sales and purchase ledgers to the daily cash postings and bank reconciliations. You will also assist our Management Team in other ad-hoc duties where required.
Your duties will include –
- Receiving supplier invoices and preparing for registering.
- Registering invoices on the system and allocating to Managers for Approval.
- Posting approved invoices to Nominal Ledger.
- Liaising with Managers regarding any PL queries.
- Reconciling supplier statements to our system.
- Supporting the setup and completion of the month BACS run.
- Liaising with suppliers for any missing documents or query resolution.
- Support daily Bank Reconciliation by sourcing applicable documents and posting values to correct system accounts.
About You
Previous experience and a good working knowledge of all accounting routines, including stock checks and month-end reconciliations are desirable. Knowledge of the motor trade Drive retailer Management System would be advantageous but not essential, however knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is.
You must be enthusiastic, well organised, and able to work to strict deadlines whilst paying attention to detail and working both as an individual and as part of a team.
