Exterior Styling

A much more fluid and dynamic design are what will strike you first, gone is the ‘bubble-front’ of the Micra. An agile sporty finish, the sharp nose is dominated by a large front grille, which is divided up with a striking chrome border that surrounds the Nissan badge. With headlights that spread back and up over the car, reaching as far as the new, shortened bonnet and deep grilles partnering the heavily angled fog lights. Adding its new found dynamic lines is the sharp crease that flanks the shoulders and sides of the car, continuing all the way to the back. Accompanying the angular bodywork is the rear floating roof, ‘boomerang’ tail lights and hidden back door handles, small details like these have had a huge impact on the overall look of the car and establish the new sporty character. Even things like positioning the lights at the very edge of the bodywork have had the impact of widening the car, another clever addition. With an extended wheel arch, the car becomes the longest and lowest Micra to-date, the athletic lines are such a prominent characteristic that it’s hard to believe it’s a Micra!

Micra Dimensions:
  • Height - 1455mm
  • Length - 3999mm
  • Width - 1743mm
  • Turning circle - 10m (kerb to kerb)

Chairman of the board at Nissan, Carlos Ghosn, has quite accurately stated that the car will ‘raise expectations’ of what this category is capable of and act as a challenger of all the presumptions made about this Nissan. It is inspired by sports cars and this has been a really prominent precursor in the development process.

Interior Design

The new larger, longer and wider design continues into the inside along with great details and craftsmanship. The new Micra has a notable amount of cabin space compared to older models, and really keeps up with competitors who previously would have dominated the space categories. As well as the roominess of the interior, Nissan have introduced a lowered and more sporty driving position and a much better noise insulation, all aspects that really add to an enjoyable driving experience. The steering wheel adjustments are extremely versatile, the designers  have really thought about making this a car that will provide comfort and enjoyment no matter what your shape or size. This is also one of Nissan’s vehicles that boasts the ergonomically designed anti-fatigue seats, so you’ll be enjoying this intuitive and innovative drive in high quality comfort and style.

A key feature of the interior is what Nissan are calling the ‘gliding wing’ dashboard. A horizontal and smooth lined dashboard adorned with soft touch materials. Organisation and styling of the dash has been executed with the generous dimensions and feel of the car firmly in mind. So, aside from all the internal structures of the interior what else makes this car stand out? Well, Nissan have used colour to liven up the interior, shades coordinated to the external  bodywork can be found decorating and enhancing the dash and door features and seat stitching. The new Micra offers an array of different colours and styling to really personalise your ride.

In Car Tech

The inspiring dimensions of the Micra do not stop there. Fitted with some top-notch technology you’ll be more than pleasantly surprised by what they've included in this new-age Micra. The first, and probably most prominent, installation is the Bose Personal sound system, AKA the fully immersive sound system. It includes a set of six speakers, two of which are mounted in the drivers headrest. In doing this, the sound is of top quality whether it be your favourite song, podcast or a hands free call, there is no excuse for interruptions. Tech options are pretty vast in the new Nissan Micra, a 7” touchscreen allows quick and easy access to sat-nav, fuel economy, media and connectivity, including Apple CarPlay. All of this technology is easily accessible with intuitive and uncomplicated menus on a clear interface. To save you ‘screen-to-road’ time the all-new Nissan Micra is fitted with driver assist, sitting between the rev counter and speedometer, a display for turn-by-turn directions, caller ID, track names, and safety feature activity. This, ‘glance down’ display is really a very clever addition, and just one of many that makes the new Micra a top contender in safety ratings.

Improved Performance and Handling

The new Micra has really developed its handling and responsiveness. Thanks to its lowered driving position and rigid body structure it offers an invigorating and secure drive.

  • The new Chassis is one of the main changes that Nissan have made to accomplish this, a responsive structure that changes depending on environment and movement.

  • Active Trace Control - uses intelligent braking to assist with corners and turns and help you stay on the right track.

  • Active Ride Control - Great for bumpy roads. It uses the brakes on each of the wheels and adjusts engine torque to give you a smooth ride.

  • Noise Insulation - gives you an undisturbed drive, even on the noisier roads.

  • Aerodynamics - rear side and roof spoiler, specialised aero-floor parts and dedicated front air-duct. The sporter character of the car go way beyond its looks.

  • Start / Stop technology - instant acceleration and fuel saving

Safety Features

The new Micra has really aimed to pull back the safety reputations, ratings and reliability of the past models which had, in some places, fallen short of the mark. This was mostly due to the lack of all the latest safety technology which most of their direct competitors feature.

With a massive focus on driver assistance and a preventative features developed to keep an eye out  for you, the Micra is definitely inline with the contender in its category.  Nissan is calling this Intelligent Mobility a ‘third eye’ or ‘sixth sense’, by engaging and responding to everyday driving events you can relax, and focus more on enjoying the ride. We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
