Exterior Design

A facelift understates the extent of the updates to this vehicle. The reshaped, bold new grille that dominates the front end is the first thing that will catch your eye, with a sleek new 3D mesh that blends into a pair of distinctive headlamp units that give its new look unique character and individuality. This rugged and progressive look continues for the full length of the SANTA FE Hybrid, with a sleek new light bar flanked by LED tail lights and a refined bumper design. Performance 
With its dynamic pairing of a turbocharged petrol direct injection and powerful battery-powered electric motor, the SANTA FE Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid are taking fuel efficiency to the next level. The hybrid switches seamlessly between the electric motor and conventional engine, sometimes utilising both at the same time.
The SANTA FE Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid are built on an entirely new platform designed with hybrids in mind. This allows lots of smart innovations – for example, the battery now sits under the passenger seats, providing a boost in efficiency with no impact on cabin or luggage space. 
The 13.8 kWh high- power battery of the SANTA FE Plug-in Hybrid has superior charge/discharge characteristics, maximizing both electric driving and energy storage. Developed 6-speed automatic transmission further enhances SANTA FE’s Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid impressive efficiency credentials. The Diesel powered variants are coupled with a Dual Clutch Transmission providing ideal performance for everyday driving and towing.

SmartStream Diesel

The SANTA FE is available with the powerful & efficient 2.2 Diesel engine paired with an 8-speed wet double-clutch transmission (8DCT) available for enhanced acceleration and improved fuel efficiency. Furthermore, it has been equipped with a new 2,200 bar injection system for improved overall engine performance.

Hybrid

Delivering a combined output of 230PS, the hybrid version of the SANTA FE is powered by a dynamic tandem of the 1.6-litre T ‘SmartStream’ turbocharged petrol direct injection engine and a 44.2 kW electric motor, which draws its power from a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. It is available with two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

Plug-In Hybrid

The plug-in hybrid version is powered by the 1.6-litre T ‘SmartStream’ turbocharged petrol direct injection engine paired with a 66.9 kW electric motor, which draws its power from a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. This variant will be available with four-wheel drive. The total power output is 265PS.
