About Howards Motor Group

Established as a single family owned garage in 1972, Howards have evolved into a multi-site group with retailers not only in our hometown of Weston-super-Mare but also Taunton, Yeovil and Dorchester. We have 24 retailers overall, including our Used Car Centres. With over 50 years of automotive heritage, we are proud of the experience and reputation we have gained for delivering quality products and services that our customers can trust. All of this is underpinned with the value and convenience expected from a modern retailer.

We always strive to deliver the right vehicle, to the right place, at the right time and right price for you, the customer. We aim to provide a relaxed environment in which you can consider purchasing a new car, used car or van, or to have an existing car serviced or repaired. The current brands we work with are Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Nissan, Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, MG, Vauxhall and Suzuki. This wide brand selection allows us to buy and sell over 7000 cars and commercial vehicles each year, and ensure our stock is constantly updated to reflect new model releases and used car demands. Keeping our customers spoilt for choice!

All this enables us to offer a wealth of products and services, all delivered through convenient locations and aimed at satisfying all motoring needs. We see ourselves not only as automotive retailers but also an integral part of the local community. We actively support numerous clubs, societies and charities in the areas surrounding our sites.     We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed.
